Polish Society for Biomaterials
(PSB) was
founded in 1996 by the group of people working in the field of
materials science and medicine. The Society operates nationwide. The
aim of the PSB is to promote fundamental or applied research in
biomaterials. The PSB today has 202 ordinary members from whole Poland
and two honorary members: Prof. Dr Roman Pampuch and Dr. Emil
Staszków. In 2004, Polish Society for Biomaterials became
officially
affiliated to the European Society for Biomaterials. Since 1997 the
Society has been publishing a bilingual Polish-English scientific
journal “Engineering of Biomaterials” quarterly.
In
2015, Polish
Society for Biomaterials and Faculty of
Materials Science and Ceramics AGH
University
organized an international conference: 27th European Conference on Biomaterials.
